On the Radio

We've slunk into rainy season here on the west coast, and to say I'm not a little sad about it would be untrue. But! September also brings with it some killer literary events. (That's "killer" as in awesome, just in case anyone was concerned.) Here are a couple nifty events at which you can see/hear yours truly. And don't forget to check out the Vancouver Writers Fest from October 20th to 25th - I'll be there as a fan (I recommend the Poetry Bash).

On the Airwaves

I will be joining brilliant novelist Chelsea Rooney on the Storytelling Show this coming Sunday, September 19th, to discuss all things literary. The Storytelling Show is a Co-op Radio program that covers "women's storytelling in all its variations: novels, short stories, mythology, and people with experiences they want to give voice to." We'll be chatting about poetry, books we loved as kids, and anything else that strikes our fancy.

Tune in: Sunday at 9:00pm, CFRO 100.5fm

The program will stream the following day at coopradio.org.

On the Streets

I'm pleased as punch to be reading at this year's Word Vancouver festival, which runs September 23rd to 27th. There are myriad incredible readings to catch during the festival's schedule of panels, so be sure to check out the program guide. For me, I'll be at the Vancouver Public Library Main Branch to read from the The City Series: Number One - Vancouver chapbook alongside my fellow contributors.

Join us: Sunday, September 27th, at 11:00am Event: The Chapbook: For Love or Money? Location: The Alice McKay Room, VPL Main Branch (Inside, Downstairs)

That's the latest and greatest! Happy September, everyone.
