In Review: The Sewing Basket
I recently reviewed Susan White's young adult novel The Sewing Basket for the Telegraph-Journal. Always nice to see solid work coming out of New Brunswick - and to recognize a lot of the geography! The T-J's online content continues to be subscription-only, but here's a blurb.
The Sewing Basket
The year is 1967, and almost-twelve-year-old Ruth Iverson’s life should be simple. She has the perfect dad. She’s been on a date with her school crush. She has a best friend and pictures of The Monkees all over her bedroom.
But something is seriously wrong with Ruth’s mother, and people are starting to notice.
Looking forward to the September book lists!
